Holistic Coaching

A holistic coach should provide a comprehensive approach to the client that considers all aspects of his life and works to achieve balance and well-being on all levels. It focuses on the wholeness of individuals, including the physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of their lives. Rather than focusing on just one segment of life or problem, holistic coaching considers all the factors that affect an individual’s well-being. It is comprehensive and systemic: It relies on the idea that all aspects of life are interconnected, and changes often follow that change in one area in other areas. It requires both extensive knowledge and coaching skills. Unfortunately, some “holistic” coaches do not provide enough attention or resources to all aspects of their clients’ lives, only focusing on one or a few aspects. Such an approach can lead to a lack of balance or unmet client needs.
