Fitness coaching
Compared to life and lifestyle coaching, fitness coaching focuses more on physical activity and exercise to improve fitness, strength, endurance, and general physical well-being. The main goal of fitness coaching is improving physical condition, achieving specific fitness goals (e.g., weight loss, building muscle mass, improving fitness), and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
A fitness coach is not the same as a personal trainer. A fitness coach understands what the client wants to achieve, what he can do, and what he needs. A fitness coach uses specific exercises, training programs, nutrition plans, and motivational techniques to help clients achieve their fitness goals.
Fitness coaches generally come from the world of sports and yoga, and it would be desirable if all personal trainers could coach their clients instead of working only on an exercise program.
